Bill of Rights Day is Next Thursday!

 

This year marks the 220th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights in 1791. Bill of Rights Day has been a day of federal observance since 1941 – and the Bill of Rights Institute has a variety of fun and engaging activities to help you celebrate!

 

National Park Foundation - Park Steward Award

Teacher In-Service, Saturday, January 21, 2012, 9a.m. - 2p.m.

 

In this workshop, learn how one teacher integrates the Civil Rights Movement into the classroom after receiving a $7,000 award from the National Park Foundation .  Suggested for 9-12th.

NOMINATE A MIDDLE OR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER TO WIN THE $10,000 NATIONAL HISTORY TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD 

  • State winners each receive: $1,000

  • All winners receive an archive of materials for their school library, donated in their honor.
